Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience as an asphalt luteman in the paving industry
• Must have reliable transportation
• Proven ability to hand-grade and fine-finish asphalt
• Strong understanding of asphalt paving procedures, materials, and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Hand-grade and shape asphalt using a lute or rake
• Assist in fine-finishing around edges, joints, and utilities
• Work closely with the paver and roller operators
• Identify and correct surface imperfections
• Follow project specifications and quality control standards
