Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating asphalt screeds
• Strong knowledge of screed setup, adjustments, and operation
• Ability to read and interpret project plans accurately
• Commitment to job site safety and adherence to highway paving protocols

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate asphalt screeds to achieve proper grade, slope, and mat thickness
• Monitor asphalt flow, temperature, and material distribution
• Coordinate with paver, roller, and lute operators
• Identify and correct surface irregularities
• Perform routine equipment inspections and minor troubleshooting
